KIPlog cooks, eats (and drinks)

Swamped

As you can tell from the lack of updates around here, I’m off doing other things. As always, the non-paying stuff goes to the back burner. One thing I really wanted to get to soon was an update of my Chicago Irish Pub map before St. Patrick’s Day. I’ve done some ‘research’ in other areas like the Loop and River North, and hopefully can throw some of that info up soon. One thing is for sure, there’s a lot of new Irish Pubs in town since I last did the map.

I also did want to mention the Family Farm EXPO this weekend, before it gets too late.

“FamilyFarmed.org is a website, food label, and EXPO that supports Midwestern organic farmers by connecting them with consumers and commercial buyers. FamilyFarmed.org creates sustainable economic development, builds community, and contributes to a healthy environment by encouraging people to buy food from local producers.”

I’ll be a panelist with several other bloggers, podcasters and web people on hand to do a workshop on Marketing with new media for farmers. Mia and Anne, from The Eat Feed Podcast, and Tana from Smallfarms are included on the panel.

I’ve been checking out some farm blogs, and I have to say I find them fascinating. I’ll point you to some of them soon.
