The NY picks have something that struck me as strange – the alt tags for the images (text alternatives hidden in the page’s code for browsers without that can’t see images, sometimes weighted importantly by search engines) are all wrong, including such places as Cafe Gray, Masa, Per Se and V Steakhouse. I thought it might be some conspiracy by some web guy disatisfied with the magazines picks, or some hacker from the Time Warner Center PR office, but then I noticed that the alt tags were wrong in many cases throughout the site.
